Doodle 1.31.10

Sometimes I find i remember more by drawing doodles during a lesson or something than I do when I write. This was a doodle I made during church this morning.

Dinner!

This was a hawk we saw outside on our fence a few weeks ago. I could hardly believe he decided to just eat the bird he caught on my dad's feeder right there. He knew we were watching him, cause he kept looking directly at us if we got loud. He was really pretty. Hope he enjoyed his meal, and comes back again to dine. :)

More Pictures

These always catch my attention. They're just so extremely large. You don't expect them to be, but they are. But i think they're the most aesthetic of the alternate resources so far. they capture your imagination.

This is my attempt at chalk.... tell me what ya think...

I was suprised by how this turned out. its better than my camera usually agrees to.

Snacktime

Sardines and crackers make a delicious snack. Especially with that extra crunch from the bones. ;D

Flowers

These are to spite a certain teacher. because flowers and plants can be excellent in photography. By the way, this is not anything to do with the flowers, but the commercial with charlie daniels is EPIC. I am pretty much that good at violin. He and i play together quite frequently.
This was an owl that we spotted while my brother, my brother's friend and I were hiking a while back. The picture itself wasn't that great, but the odd thing was the owl. He watched us very carefully as we lurked closer to take pictures. He was huge, and just sitting in broad daylight. It was, as a friend of mine says, just like camping.

Yes, this is just grass. Its just ordinary grass in a small, mediocre wood. But I love this picture none the less. Especially because the surrounding time and place. The time: early early spring. Probably march or so. The place: a woods outside our suburb (shudder). It had been brown for five months, so green was extremely refreshing. And it was sunny. :)

Ukraine

Ukraine pictures are the best. I'm really hoping to go back. The panoramic is of us in McDonalds before we left (and for those of you wondering, yes we did go to McDonalds in Ukraine. Dont ask me why.). The gold tower is a monastery we visited and toured. It was really pretty.

This is Sergio. He's deaf, but doesn't know any sign language. the book he's holding is a book of pictures he used for the week to communicate what he needed, or what he was excited about, or what he was doing, even though I was usually the one helping him do it. We could have been on the playground, swinging, and he would set the book on his lap, take a few moments to flip through the pages and find the picture that showed a person on a playground, point at it with his skinny, deformed finger, and then grin widely, and nod. I would grin widely and nod back. He found this highly entertaining. This is one of the only candid pictures I managed to get of him. He is veeery conscientious of people w/ cameras cause he enjoys smiling then seeing himself on the tiny screen over and over and over and over....
This was the room i shared with Beth and Lindsey. The second day we were there, we were napping during a break time, and suddenly, as Beth sat up, a board supporting the mattress snapped out of place loudly. We were all so tired though, that none of us even flinched or moved. Haha.
This is one of the many buildings people stayed in. They were very nice. The flowers were everywhere. This was a house thing that was out in the woods beyond the camp. I'm not really sure what it is or used to be.

Sergio got to bring the camp's flag in one day. I love this picture because of how happy he is to do it. He may or
may not fully understand why he's doing what he's doing, but his face is priceless. He would often get into fits of laughing like this when he did something new, or just something fun. Like swinging. He loved swinging. Every time i would push him on the swing, i was sure he was going to pee himself from laughing too hard.

3D Art Portfolio

I have decided to start a portfolio of all of my 3d works. I only just started working on 3d art, so I only have 2 pieces that are completed. But I am finishing 2 more, so when those are fired and finished, I’ll add them to the list for a grand total of 4 pieces!! Tell me what you think! The bug is made of copper wire, not my favorite medium, but its good to broaden horizons. And the hand was made with low-fire clay and glaze. My personal favorite of the 2.
